Privacy policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Last updated November 2026.
Who we are
This site belongs to MiddleRook Solutions Corp., based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Braden Middlebrook is responsible for how we handle your personal information. You can reach him at braden@middlerooksolutions.com.
What we collect
- When you email us: your name, your email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
- When you work with us: contact details, project details, and the records we need for quotes and invoices.
- When we think we could help you: we sometimes find businesses and organizations through public sources, such as websites and directories, or through a business card or a conversation. We keep names, work contact details, where we found them, and notes about why we could be a good fit and when to follow up. If you'd like us to remove your details or stop contacting you, email us and we will.
- When you visit this site: basic technical details, as explained below.
This site has no forms or accounts. The sample hub on the home page doesn't save anything you do in it.
How we use it
We use your information to answer you, prepare quotes, do the work you ask for, send invoices and keep the records the law requires. We also use site measurements to improve this site.
We don't sell your data.
How we use AI
We use AI tools, including Claude from Anthropic, to help with research, writing drafts and organizing our work. These tools may read the information involved, such as an email, project notes or a client record. A person at MiddleRook reviews the work before anything is sent or published.
We don't put a client's art into AI tools without that client's written permission.
Cookies and site measurement
Our website host, GoDaddy, runs a measuring tool on every page, whatever you choose. It may use cookies and collect basic technical details about your visit.
If you press Accept on our banner, it also records the links and buttons you click, including the page you were on and the wording of what you clicked. If you press Decline, it doesn't record those clicks.
Your browser remembers your choice for up to a year. You can change it at any time.
Our fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to load them.
Who else handles it
We use a few outside services to run the business, and they handle information for us:
- GoDaddy, for this website and our domain (its privacy policy)
- Microsoft, for our email (its privacy statement)
- Google, for fonts and our business records (its privacy policy)
- Anthropic, for AI tools (its privacy policy)
- Discord, for our internal notes (its privacy policy)
These services may store information outside Canada, where other countries' laws apply. We only share your information otherwise if you ask us to or the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the reasons above. We keep business and tax records for at least six years, as Canadian tax rules require.
How we protect it
Braden is the only person at MiddleRook who can open our business records. The services listed above store them for us, and our accounts are protected with sign-ins.
If a privacy breach could seriously harm you, we'll tell you and report it as the law requires.
When we work for a client
When we work in a client's website, store or accounts, we may see information about that client's customers. That information belongs to our client, and we handle it on their behalf. We only use it for the job they asked us to do, and we don't keep customer lists or use them for ourselves.
If you're a customer of one of our clients, that business's privacy policy applies. They're the best place to start with any questions.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we don't need to keep. You can also take back your consent. Email us, and we'll answer as soon as we can.
If we can't sort out a concern together, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
